He's Watching

This gnome guards the salt and pepper. It was a present from my grandmother to my dad, she decided he likes gnomes enough to keep them on the kitchen table.

I hosted a bit of a dinner party today. A couple of my friends wanted to watch me cook Indian food, maybe learn something in the process. So they came over in the afternoon and hung out in the kitchen with me while I prepped, cooked, and served spinach and cheese curry, potatoes with onions and spices, onion dal, cucumber raita, saffron rice, pooris, and chapatis. We talked through dinner and long enough to break out the remaining Christmas desserts.
