The One World Tree

We decided drive out to Willen Lake at Milton Keynes again (here's the Peace Pagoda at the same place) because there seemed to be more to see than we were able to last week. We had a nice walk round the lake, the Peace Pagoda and the nearby woods, including the One World Tree . The prayers and messages of hope on The One World Cedar Tree is a symbol of people's faith and hope for a better world. It was planted on a hillcrest above the Buddhist temple at Willen Lake, Milton Keynes in 1992; the year of the first Earth Summit. The same spot is an excellent viewpoint (with much needed seating) from which to see Cranfield, Brickhill Woods and the distinctive skyline of Milton Keynes city centre.
With all the ups and downs around the lake and climbing up the steep hill to the Peace Pagoda, I have quite worn my self out again, so I will have to catch up with you all later :-))
