Higher, Deeper, Wider

Is the theme of this year's Baptist Assembly, where we've spent the day stewarding, including over two hours trying to squeeze about a thousand cars into a far too small carpark in the windy cold rain - fun! It was, actually. We treated ourselves to a 99 from the ice-cream van - felt like a holiday.

It was also fun meeting so many folk from our past - including a friend from Leeds days that I'd not seen in 30 or so years - he used to be lanky with long dark curly hair; now he's bald with a belly - but still has the earring. Wonder what he thought about me!!
