Forgiveness

To forgive is to set a prisoner free....

To learn this is to liberate oneself. The mind holds onto mistakes, failures, bitterness and anger, compelling us to resent others or even ourselves. Once we let go, and I mean truly let go, we realise just how much these have been keeping us prisoner. Forgive not because the other deserves it, but because you deserve peace. A wise person knows there is a lesson to be learnt from everybody.
