Game on ...

Took a long, leisurely walk through Brooklyn today with some friends visiting from Australia. Managed to wait out the downpours of rain with timely stops for beer, cider, cannoli, gelato and pizza. A balanced diet.

The rain cleared for our walk around the Brooklyn Bridge Park, where old piers are being converted to public space and sporting facilities. This is a great soccer venue, and it feels like you could almost reach over the river and touch the buildings in Downtown Manhattan.
