Cinders

We went for a drive in the countryside today, and came upon this house (or what's left of it).

It must have been an exercise for the fire service, because I don't remember hearing about it on the news, and the only belongings we could see among the ruins was a pile of dinner plates.

Still, sad to know it was once the center of family life, and now it sits, ruined and abandoned.
