What the heck......?!

My son has rather imaginative ways of cooking. This, apparently, is "beer can chicken". I walked into the kitchen and burst out laughing as it looked so ridiculous!

When he mentioned chicken and beer cans (of course it was a good excuse for him to drink the contents!) I had expected chicken packed into a beer can to be cooked - something like poulet presse.

This could be quite an interesting alternative Sunday roast!!
