This sums up our day today

Garden in the rain
Cake at the charter house open day
Found all my cross stitch patterns and kits
And selling the teddies.

I went through a horrid few years after my parents split up. And became quite ill and depressed. Thankfully I had a wonderful boyfriend (now husband) and cross stitch to save me from myself.
It was a bit emotional coming across the patterns and teddies as the memories connected to some of them are still very raw.
I've learnt to face things head on and I guess going through these has closed some wounds I didn't realise were still open.

So.
Another chapter closed.
