In Transit

Covered a fair few miles of the Isle of Man for little effort today.

Saw the north of the island - by riding on the Electric Railway - in an open Victorian tram car.

Broke the 17.5 mile route - which goes through some glorious scenery - at Laxey - to travel to the summit of Snaefell - on the Snaefell Mountain Railway - also a Victorian enterprise - and then continued to Ramsey on the Electric Railway

Returned to Douglas - from Ramsey - on a modern bus - via Peel - this was the warmest stretch of the trip

Tomorrow we start seeing the island on foot - more effort will be required
