Gasoline Alley

I had a wander round Bingley to see if I could get closer to this chimney that's appeared a few times on here from a distance. I found myself in Gasoline Alley and I was surprised to see that the chimney has a 'for rent' sign up on it - I assume this refers to the building rather than the chimney! I found out that that there is a company here called 'Gasoline Alley Ltd' that deals in classic cars.

I thought Gasoline Alley a strange name for a Yorkshire town given that it's not a term we use. Petrol Alley doesn't have the same ring to it.
