Safe harbour

After getting up early to slide a garlic and mustard rubbed loin of pork into the slow cooker and anoint it with apple juice I made Joe some breakfast and then drove him to his first 11-a-side tournament. Lots of hard work, rain and disappointment. And as I was the only parent who turned up it was a lonely three hours too.

Back home for a while and then I had to decide how to watch the last game of the season. Nerves got the best of me and I followed it on twitter instead while sipping on some excellent Stewart's ales over the bridge.

The football may have been disappointing but that pork was gorgeous. As was the harbour when I popped down for a quick photo before Joe's tournament started.
