Baby tomato

One of my tomato plants grew an ants' nest. Quite nasty stinging ones. I tipped the whole lot into a tray, rescued the plant, and shot the lot onto a bare bit of earth. Maybe something will eat the grubs and cocoons! Are they ever useful in the garden, I wonder?
