Knockfarrel
A Sunday afternoon walk in sunshine, only it wasn't sunshine, it was torrential rain, hailstones and freezing cold!
We left the Black Isle basking in warm sunshine but the nearer to Dingwall we got the darker the skies looked. As I drove into the Blackmuir Woods Carpark the heavens opened and it hardly stopped all afternoon, apart from when the hailstones battered down on us.
Originally there were 10 people down to come on this walk, but only the hardy (stupid!!) ones turned up! There were 6 of us, plus our dogs of course, all of whom we have walked with many a time.
It was a good walk, we laughed at ourselves trudging through the mud with hail bouncing off our backs. The dogs really enjoyed the wet and the mud but Bud was very pleased to get back to the car to get dried off and wrapped up in his cosy fleece coat. Poppy just wanted something to eat!
