The Bee's Knees

We went for a walk late this afternoon, as it had been so cold and windy all day. There were lots of little critters hunkered down on leaves, I guess to get into a bit of shelter.

This little tiny bee was on some cow parsley at the side of what we call Church Field. We don't know if that's its real name, but it's the field behind the church.

It looks as though he's managed to collect a little pollen, but was very still when we came across him. I think he was having a little rest after all that buzz.
