Walking in rain & sunshine

Mother's Day and for me a day of walking in sunshine and rain against a strong Westwind in Limburg with this handful of fellow walkers ~ 'cause of the strong winds rain and sunshine alternated eachother incesstantly.
We walked from Venlo towards Reuver mostly along the riverbanks of the Meuse and crossed the river with a ferryman's boat towards the village Steyl where 2 huge 19th century monasteries determine the village character; a happy local lady was walking her dog there and she willingly told us about the village history and guided us around ~ a happy unexpected treat we all enjoyed, like all day was a welcome treat.
