Arty Chokes

I was going to give Mono Monday a go and headed out to do the circuit, but got  seriously sidetracked by this wonderful explosion in a window.  The artichokes heads have erupted in a most aesthetic way. Nice with the reflected clouds too.  I can't think of an apt title though. *

A wild and woolly kind of day, strong winds, sunshine and heavy downpours. We're both a bit tired after the last few days and I've beem mostly pottering in the garden. Another small tree and a large branch has fallen in the weekend's gales but the speed of growth is astonishing!

One interesting website Himself discovered this morning - Lives of the First World War. Launched today,  this seems a very special and ambitious project  being put together by the Imperial War Museum in England to try and record the stories of as many people as possible who were involved in the Ist World War.
