Triffid

It may not look like one, but it is! This plane tree outside our house hasn't been pruned for three years. It looks very healthy, I'm sure you'll agree, but we have no daylight in our bedroom for half the year now. And the main living area is getting increasingly dim, since one window is in the shade all day. Heck, you can't even tell what time it is now, because the clockface has been completely smothered. So if you are reading this, Monsieur le Maire, please get that tree pruned!

Speaking of pruning, I am pretty sure someone sneakily pruned our triffid-like wisteria while we were away in Spain -- it's not nearly as invasive as it used to be ...
