Creeping buttercup

Ranunculus repens. Not quite as graceful as the Meadow Buttercup but just as useful for checking whether or not you like butter...

These have been sold as ornamental garden plants with the result that they have become an invasive weed in new areas around the world! I certainly hoik them out of my borders although they are a lovely bright splash of colour along the lane at the moment.
