Bend over, let me see you shake your tail feather

What a different day we've had. I really had too many photos that I wanted to blip. This morning I took Miniman to revisit a little park area I found out running yesterday morning. We collected pine cones, which i had no idea could just grow out of the tree trunk like fungus. We collected 20 in all (because I fear that they will need to be on display somewhere here and any more would be ridiculous). We played hide & seek amongst the gardens and then walked down to the anchor sculpture on the road junction to take photos and we met a poor little bird who seemed unable to fly. I had to resist the idea of bringing him home with us.

This afternoon I looked for somewhere different to go and found good write ups about a Parque (Reine Sofia) in Guardamar so off we went to explore. What a glorious place. Lots of shade beneath tall pines which were home to squirrels who were very friendly, with a children's play area nestled amongst a sanctuary for some spectacular birds and turtles with lakes & waterfalls and pathed walks and.... well what's not to like? And a stones throw from the beach (though you'd never have guessed it). We found the peacocks there and this one decided to show off his bum to us. I got a couple of shots of the front view but not as full on as this. Cheeky little so and so.

To top off Miniman's day there was a small persons fun fair close by so we spent an hour watching him drive a fire engine, safari jeep, motorbike, helicopter & quad bike round various rides and bouncing on every trampoline available before heading home at bed time. A lie in tomorrow maybe? I doubt it.
