The Big Parade

Today I was looking through some old photos and I came across a few from 1997. My best friend and I were just wrapping up our first year of middle school, sixth grade. We were awesome. We were also in the school band. The pictures were from the festival parade our town would hold every May. It was our first year to get to march in it. We even got to march next to each other! We were so excited! It turns out that it would be the only parade that we'd get to march in together which makes having these pictures even more special. I am so happy that I came across these photos today and that I was able to share them after 12 years with one of my closest friends today still.
