Slightly Damp

I whipped outside in the drizzle late this afternoon to find a blip – a hardy and very pretty rose is still flowering; laden down with droplets, aha just what I was looking for. Done!! (Well, with a little bit of texture added).

Our visitors left mid morning for Christchurch; once again the house is quiet. We've just cruised, Doug engrossed in a Dan Brown book, me pottering on the iPad.

Curtains were drawn early, like before 5 pm as darkness was falling.
