Foula

Another school visit today, this one to Foula, which must be one of the most remote schools in the country. Excitingly, the journey was by six seater airplane, nail bitingly, the airstrip is a packed dirt strip which appears to end in a sheer drop off a cliff. We landed towards the drop, and I didn't like it - I knew we probably weren't going to fall off the end, but it was still a bit heartstopping. The rest of the visit was great, nice people and kids, and a peaceful day, as the return flight wasn't until tea time.

Check out the map for this one. The flight was 15 minuites at 1,000 feet.
