A Great Tits nest on display in the local history centre in Little Baddow.

The nest is about 6" across (in old money) and made from feathers and fine grasses.. lovely. Apparently its unusual they they use so many feathers.

We went to Little Baddow for their 'open gardens' day - made us realise that we married into the 'wrong' families and were born to the 'wrong' parents.... the other half lives on another planet which has a lot more land, money, bigger houses, and (if the ones we met were representative) horrible children ! Phew... what an escape !
But as Tony says ... can't be a class warrior all your life...
