HAPPY NEW YEAR!

First things first... A Happy New Year to everyone!

Now, this was taken last night just after midnight (obviously). I had 2 choices, lay off the beer on Hogmanay and head into the town, up a hill somewhere or try to get some shots from the mum-in-laws balcony that looks down to the Castle, through a tree and with a phone transmitter just to the side. So, the beer won and this was taken at a range of approx 3 miles from the castle with a 70-200 F2.8 lens and a 2x teleconverter. Remote packed in again so was all done with 2s self timers. What I did learn is that at this level of zoom thats no good at all, lots of shake on other shots so this was the pick of the lot.
