A Heron - at last!

Mrs B and I took a cycle down by the canal today, along to the Falkirk Wheel. As we were cycling we spotted a heron on the canal bank - as I have done several times while cycling along the canal. Normally they see my red cycling jacket and they're off, but this one just sat there as I cycled past. So I screeched to a halt and the blip was in the bag.

Mrs B claims it's her influence, as the last time we were down by the canal together, she spotted and I blipped a robin, which also just sat there posing!

Unfortunately I didn't have a very long lens attached to my camera, so the blip above is a crop, and therefore not as crisp as I would have liked. But still - I blipped a heron at last!!!
