cherry blossom
the flower of life they say
representing love
life, new growth
death

fragrant, a delicate, lingering scent
she walks through the branches
their blossoms entwined in soft embrace
brushing gently against her skin
her tears soak into the ground

she is enchanting
but yet another walking travesty
her mind too troubled
to see the beauty that surrounds her
eyes like the moon
awash with silver tears
she sleeps under the cherry blossom

the flower of life.
