Handle Time Again

Last month I pointed out a handle on the side of a cupboard outside my local petrol station. I thought at the time this was a bit stupid, well today I found a use for the handle, I locked my bike to it. I pointed this out to the proprietor and he looked at me in a strange way, "It is for tying dogs to". Now immediately I though who would tie a dog in a petrol station, everybody drives in, then click. I remembered a rant I had on a website, (rants were pre blogs). It was called Pot Noodle Emporiums, I lamented that I had toured the local garages looking for a fan belt, something they all carried at one time. But no, I could get a Pot Noodle in them all, but no fan belt, one even sold alcohol, petrol is the last thing they sell. I even thought back to the days I got out my bed and went to work, trying to pay for petrol while half the town is getting their messages used to really wind me up.
