In the spotlight

Beautiful warm weather for a change, so Sue and I went for a stroll and ended up wandering around Portland's oldest cemetery at dusk. Nothing much to those of you on the other side of the Atlantic, but some of these graves date back to 1830, which makes it very old for the western USA. These four magnificent redwoods were planted around someone's grave. The gravestone has been defaced, so all that remains is a hunk of broken marble...and these four trees. It seemed like a poem.

The sun is entirely responsible for the lighting. No processing tricks. Just the sun.
