As I walked passed the pond this morning I saw a dead bee floating on the surface of the water. Several hours late Conventboy1 saw it and noticed that its legs were moving slightly. So it had to be rescued!
He was named Barry and put on a saucer to dry out. We watched him for about 30 mins as he lay quietly in the sun, every so often rubbing his arms? over his back. Eventually his wings began to unfold and he suddenly flew off.
Didn't even stop to say thank you!
P.S. it is easier to take a blip of a dozy bee rather than an active one!
