Elephant Seat

This is The Elephant Circle Seat by Nicholas Dimbleby. It is a circular seat that features four elephants and it can be found by the river in Jephson Gardens, Leamington Spa. It previously sat at one of the entrance ways to the shopping centre but was moved to this spot in 2008. It commemorates the time when a herd of elephants was kept in the town and they were regularly walked down to the River Leam to drink and bathe. What a sight that must have been!
