Serious Downpour

Yet again, heavens decided to empty entire bathtub-worth (their bathtub size, not mine) of water on us tonight, all at once, over about a 15 minutes span. Yet again, HD's water redirecting measures held, preventing the basement from getting flooded. Yey!

I delightedly shared a kombucha scoby with a fellow fermenting enthusiast. I am also experimenting with fermenting cooked lentils by adding a bit of raw sauerkraut juice or drained kefir whey to them. Very yummy, indeed. Long live rich inner life!

Lastly, I made a significant progress on cleaning our back porch in preparation for repainting it. The trick is to spray the green mold (inevitable in this warm and humid climate) with very diluted bleach. This kills the bad guys, and then I can clean them off without having an unfortunate and expected allergic reaction to them...
