Mother's Day

The highlight of our five hour drive across central California from the coast to Yosemite was stopping at an organic farm stand for strawberries--as I got my money out to pay for them, the clerk said, "Are you a mother?" When I said yes, she said the berries were a Mothers' Day gift. What a nice surprise! I had already been given a wonderful pink wire bird for the garden and the promise of seeing the new Godzilla movie when we get back from our trip, courtesy of JustSeanD. And then the almost full moon rose as the setting sun reflected off Half Dome, and MrS engineered the perfect viewpoint, so it was a day full of gifts and surprises.
