Just when......

.......my clematis is bursting out in a riot of flowers, and everything else in my garden is about to ; why do I choose this moment to go off AWOL ??
To get up at some ungodly hour to catch a plane to the south of france.
In order To sit by the swimming pool,with friends and my sun hat on.
With a cold white wine!
And make occasional forays up into the Alpes Maritime , Monaco and Liguria!!
Squinting in the sun!
In my shorts!!
Can anybody tell me?
