Dinner with Mr Speaker

Dinner at Speaker's House hosted by John Bercow for the 4th time, lovely man, was thoroughly engaging even though he wasn't very well. He was so energised by the progress that Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research is making and was gracefully thanked by Alastair Campbell for his support. Great speech and management of conversation with parliamentarians, Cancer networks and pharmaceuticals by Chris Bunce. Had great conversations with Sean Duffy the National Cancer Director to my left and John to my right, very good to know we have friends like these so willing to help in such lovely surroundings....shame the candlestick wouldn't fit in my handbag, it's worth millions and would have been a good start to this year's fundraising!
