Black and White

The forecast for today was looking very promising, so I decided on an early start and went to Rough Wood where we have been doing the Fungi Survey, but this time to look for birds. Mr PB came along too. We spotted 25 species in and around the woodland, Pied Flycatcher being one of the highlights, as they are quite rare in this part of the country generally, but there are quite a few in this small area. This male was one of a pair who had taken up residence in a nest box.
