You Didn't Buy Me Anything?

We didn't seem to be suffering much from jet lag yesterday, but it's a different story today. I was awake well before 6:00 AM, and Cynthia wasn't far behind me. It's now 8:00 PM and I'm struggling to stay awake. I managed to write several paragraphs and had almost finished my blip, then somehow deleted it all. This will have to be a very abbreviated version.

We were glad to be out and about early, before the throngs of tourists blocking the streets later in the day -- we wouldn't want be here at the peak of the tourist season. We walked a lot again today, and especially enjoyed shopping at the open-air market, where I took the photo.

The dog was most indignant that he hadn't received a treat as his owner was paying for her purchase. He was quite vocal in expressing his unhappiness until the vendor took pity on him, and handed a ball of ground beef to his owner. He sat like a well trained dog to receive his treat, and presumably all was forgiven.

I (and C) have taken lots of photos of the horse-drawn carriages taking tourists on guided tours of the city -- so many times that we now recognize the drivers. I will have to do a horse blip at some point -- after all, my name is Greek for horse lover!
