King Alfreds' cakes

A glorious day in the woods, wildlife not behaving itself though. Went out to find reptiles and found nothing but amphibians. Later on when I was fishing the pond for newts, I discovered I was being watched by a lizard. Not sure how to write-it-up on the survey forms!
I have blipped a fungus, because they stay put & don't wriggle. (and because it looks more like Alfreds' Buns than his cakes, i found it amusing).
