Just because

Tonight we are in the Celtic Manor Resort. Just because.

R was feeling down at the beginning of the week but looking forward to a day off on Thursday... So I treated us to a night in this 5* hotel. Tonight we're having cocktails and room service. Tomorrow we'll have an outstanding buffet breakfast followed by the rest of the day in the award winning spa.

I'm so in love with her. A complete feeling, one of awe and respect and overwhelming thoughts about the perfection of here and now. I fall hard and fast when I fall in love, but this tops whatever I've felt before. Harder and faster by the day in fact, but not in a runaway caught-up-in-the-moment or head-in-the-clouds way. I'm not thinking about the future or worrying about what ifs... Just living for now. And I suspect she is my future.

Why are we in an expensive hotel drinking expensive cocktails and looking forward to an expensive massage tomorrow?
Why not. Life is short. And it should damn well be sweet.
