Even when there are door-opening morons, desperate overtaking-round-apices-of-bends FirstBuses, glass fragments around chicanes and drop-clutching racing numpties about, taking the extra couple of minutes to go in via the Innocent is always worth it. The wheeling-time usually comes out about the same as the shorter-but-longer-climb route around the other side of the hill, so it's probably quite close to the normal medium route in eventual door-to-car-park time.
