Spring etc.

Really, I am not a romantic.
Today occasioned a foray to 105th and Lex, close enough to the stomping grounds (100th St.) of one of the first photographers whose work I loved in marrying culture, social content, personal connection, and terrific portraiture. The type of portraits that makes you long to figure out how he could get so close. Rather betrays my sensibilities.
It's an interesting neighborhood, seemingly comfortably mixed, with gorgeous buildings and a great mural or two. I'd like to wander up there again.
Trip was to pick up something for the pup, although I joke with other parents of teens that I now nearly qualify for neglected parent status.
