Gift#16 - Persimmon

Beware all ye birds, lizards, little dogs, other cats and possums - there's a fierce cat around ready to pounce!
I am reluctant to put food out for the birds anymore after Persi caught one my favorites - a dove or maybe wood pigeon a while back. Also I love to watch the geckos on the wall in the sun, but she caught one of those too. And one of her favorite pastimes is to sit on the fence and taunt the little dog next door. She sure is a loveable rogue!
She was a gift to us from the Animal Shelter in Austin because we had driven 3 hours down there to pick her up on the day scheduled but they had forgotten and she was still at her foster home, so we had to go off and have a coffee somewhere while we waited for her to be brought in and got ready for her adoption. So they waived the adoption fee and gave her to us for free! She came with some emotional baggage from a traumatic start in life, but can be very sweet and loving when she wants to. She is an unusual mix of skittish and fierce, and is a great conversationalist! We both love her!
