Early Morning

One aspect of feeling so tired is that I have to go to bed early - the problem with this is that six and a half hour later I am ready to get up and this was the case this morning. At 4.45 am the dawn chorus had already started and there was a gentle orange glow on the horizion. So I was up and out with a flask and my tripod.

A short drive on to the moor towards Princetown. The moon was still out and it was a full moon last night. Below the moon and below the moor a temperature inversion was taking place. I could hear lambs in the distance and then I heard two cuckoos and wondered if one of them was Whortle.

Then the sun came up and the ponies came past. I headed back towards home but stopped on my bit of the moor. I was back below in the temperature inversion as it was lifting and this is where this was taken. Cox Tor and Staple Tors are in the distance.

I was home by 6.00am. Early morning is an amazing time of day to be out. What a wonderful world and a wonderful experience it had been!

My comments are back on and I hope to get fully involved again over the next few days. Thank you again for the stars you have been leaving - Blip is a fantastic community.
