Here Today

The first of my poppies to open. We usually miss them through being away. This is a bit early I think.
It was just open last night, perfect at 9am, and now starting to look a bit jaded. I feel an affinity with this sense of impending decay.
If it had a bucket list, I suspect there was only one item on it, to set seed for next year. I hope it has managed to do so.
