Beginnings

A new dawn, a new day, a new year, a new decade.

A new pair of socks too.

The Phoenix Inn pub in Phoenix Green, a little village near Hartley Wintney in Hampshire has a quiet little New Year's meeting for classic cars - meaning all sorts of weird and wonderful stuff turns up. So I went for another drive with friends to take a look. Some observant people might start to think I do little else. But there are few things as effective at chasing away the winter blues, as charging along some country lanes in crisp early morning bouncing engine noise off the trees.

Anyway the meeting was amazing - so much great old metal - rat rods, Yank tanks, supercars, sportscars of all ages. Difficult lighting though... I liked this photo of the chrome on the front of an old Chevy.
