Lillies of the Valley

Seeing these petite bells come back in the garden every year always makes me happy. They remind me of my childhood friend's yard, where I would bend down, breathe in, and get high on their incredible fragrance. They come for a short time, and I am somehow always happily surprised to see them back and spreading every year. What a gift.
