Dusting
Deep, vibrant, very statuesque...for me there is nothing like the colour of the Siberian Iris in the garden at this time of year.
The touch of yellowy gold leading deep into the flowerhead enveloped by this unbelievably striking blue does it for me - year after year! Love the glittery petals too which is just catching the sun - rather like the dusting you put on cupcakes. However all is not well on the iris front as the ones which regularly come up on the edge of our pond are not to be seen for the first time in years! Closer inspection reveals they have possibly been choked by a grass I inadvertently introduced a while back. Big mistake!! What to do? It involves a lot of work I think!
Points for anyone spotting the intruder.
Dusting really needs to be seen large!
