Stausee
Found myself blipless at the end of an afternoon away so we stopped at this dam on the way home. It has been a miserable day, cold and drizzly. According to Austrian folklore this is the last week of Spring frost. May 12 to 15 are the feast days of St Pankratius, St Servatius, St Bonifatius and St Sophie, the so-called ice saints. They supposedly bring a cold snap and this week it has only been around 7-10 degrees during the day. They say that if it rains on St Sophie, or cold Sophie, it will rain for 40 days. Well it did rain today so we will see if it is only superstition.
