Goodbye Grandma

Unfortunatley the wee man had to wave goodbye to Grandma this morning. He always loves spending time with his family, and it's amazing to see how he changes through the eyes of others. It's probably the last time that my mum will see the wee man for about three or four months now - as we'll be leaving for San Diego in a couple of weeks.

So today we went to the Edinburgh Academy to have a look at another option for the wee man. We spent about 30 minutes with the Deputy Head, who kindly gave us a tour of the nursery and junior school.

It was obviously a very different experience to the Montessori school with a plethora of pros and cons. On the one side, the facilities looked amazing, and there's no doubt about the academic excellence. However, we really were won over by the creative, community feel of the Montessori school.
