A wee puppy

I first saw this wee soul on our vet's Facebook page. She's two and a half weeks old and is a German Shepherd puppy whose mum wasn't managing to look after her and mutilated her paw. She developed an infection in her sore leg and on Monday the vet examined her and decided unfortunately he had to amputate her leg. She underwent a general anaesthetic to remove her leg. Despite being a high risk surgery she recovered well and later on Monday night she took her first steps! They're still taking it a day at a time but she is getting stronger every day! She was so cute and it was lovely to see her and get a cuddle in person. She's receiving great care from all the staff. Stay strong wee one!
