Solomon's Seal

The orange tip butterflies were uncooperative as I attempted to get a good photo but then I noticed on a nearby shaded river bank were the flowers of Solomon’s Seal looking attractive with their little hanging flowers.
It might have got its name from the circular scars on the underground rooting stems resembling document seals. Another theory is that the plant was used for ‘sealing wounds’ and a poultice made from powdered roots helped to cure bruises and was used by King Solomon of biblical fame.
Another name is Ladder to Heaven or David’s Harp.
